Too back and blue

gone for while, i think. shit's happened. my week off was generally uneventful and the moment i anticipated for so long was, like.......a little bit of a let down. at least i didn't have to work. some of my students supposedly missed me, but they didn't really show it.
ugh. i want to go home, to my real home..although there are problems there, too. seems like everywhere i go i get obscenely unhappy/disappointed within an extended period of time. i think i'm starting to constantly look sad. i find myself dreaming of other (better) places like i used to: staring out windows and wondering. goddamn.

when i do get back to america, to fucking california, i swear i'mma eat some delicious things regardless of what it originally came from. but i promise to stop before school and dally with the idea of veganism (however, i quite adore leather...). speaking of real, my future pending school, i have decided to ucla. it mostly pains me to say that; i feel like such a part of the majority..to justify my decision i have to admit that it seriously is the best school for my major (and the cheapest and the easiest to get into considering the other top choices were mit, caltech, and nyu--none of which i dared to apply to). i'm mostly concerned with where i'mma be living; there is no way in fucking hell i want to dorm. no way. it's so expensive around there. eeesh.

tangentially, i want to show what i've been currently obsessing over: two tone leggings--opaque and sheer à la AA and OC.
i think the obvious purchasing choice would be american apparel, plus, i like the contrast with that one better. and after seeing this one picture of lily allen i totally want to expose my ass this summer. or...this year. i seriously want to showcase that feature since i've always kinda figured my bum was awesome. like, something i've actually been proud of other than my hands. god, i miss dressing nice. i feel if i pull any of that shit here i'll be eyed in ways that will give me even more nightmares. i don't want no attention from the guys here. no.
lastly, i have found that i have been listening to music that sounds as if it could be played in the background of a porno. porno soundtrack-ish music. i loves it like this

and that.

wowzas, let's get that Saturated

i'm feeling wistful. i'm leaving the country in a little over a week--it's got me thinkin' and evaluatin'. i've done about nothing since the starting of this blog or my hs graduation that qualifies me as a productive human. i can't explain how that makes me feel; it's not exactly pure failure because i have accomplished a few things i swore i'd do during this "college time" (studying abroad and travel, bitches). getting this teaching stint, though...also has unexplainable feelings. i don't know about those kids. it's already some mighty bit of stress.
attained my new media device. it's still of the apple variety. was going through my library and found this. it transported me back to dance class 2006. i feel like it now.

the rain, the rain! it's not a bad thing.

havin' good times, are ya? i am.

Do i have any reason to blog? This just used to be some means of letting off steam and bad-mouthing whatever the hell was fucking up my day and at times it is, but--not so much anymore. I don't know if anyone visits this decrepit piece of webspace (anymore to say the least), but here i'll continue to post the base occurrences that make up my daily life.
My night life, however, makes up for uninterstingness i suffer when the sun's out. All right. I warned y'all about the FOALS show last post. Here's what I gotta say about that:

I hadn't been to the Troubadour for, what, about 5 years (it was the early TMCM years, i liked me some earlimart, it was cheap), but i recognized some of the stuff..it's a pity i didn't go check upstairs to see if my little panda thing was still there. So, it was the usually getting in, standing around, and general waiting routine. Maps and Atlases went on after about an hour. Now, what really intrigued me about this band (i guess besides the girl) was the xylophone jamming. That was truly transfixing--i found myself staring at it being played for the majority of the set (quand it was in use). Quite the innovative band; guitar played like a piano and such; some manhandling of the instruments (it looked slightly uncomfortable/strange).Overall quite good, rather dancey & mathy.

I guess we waited another 30 minutes before every was ready for Foals. OK. The first thing I noticed was the bass guy because i recognized him from a picture i had seen on a blog peeking out from the corner of the picture and he bared a striking resemblance to matt murphy (i'd say it was the hair).

What i really wasn't expecting, however, was the general cuteness (ie: the japanese girls next to me promptly exclaiming,"かわいい!!!" when they all came out). I think the cuteness was mostly direct towards Mr. Drummer & Mr. Synth' maybe even Mr. Murph look-a-like Bass Mann--larry young girls calling out names i was unfamiliar with to get them to look in their direction for a decent picture. It worked on several, or maybe just two, occasions. Yes, it was right good. Encore as well as jumping into the crowd for some dancing; alas, i touched no one and if i had stayed a little longer i might've been able to chat up a little with adorable Mr, Drummer (..as i think of it now he reminded me of dan, the other wombat guy). And i got some free stuff--a poster!!

Foals > The Kooks. Most definitely.
