and getting valentines with x-men characters declaring adoration (eg."you're magnetic", "let me read your mind/i was thinking the same thing", "i feel your burning gaze/and i like it") for you from your secret crush (though you totally knew he sent the same one to all the other girls in the class and you still treasured the piece of paper).

Gimme some loving
it's that time of the year..for blood-coloured things and hearts aplenty. I miss the simpler interpretations of this holiday, elementary school-times where it was all about the candy, but not those shitty little hearts.

Oh. monsters run amuck.
it's that scary candy day again! i missed a costumed pay-party on friday night.
thoughts on what i wanted to be this year: cleopatra, a beatnik, tuxedo mask. i settled on Odile from bande à part. simply the easiest to dress as. theoretically speaking, i would totally go as her. for, uh, the third year i ain't got nothing.
i'm not even expecting andy comas. oh, it's a shame i don't get the free candy as much as i used to.

boo
another halloween. so, this is the third year featuring this holiday? i'm not too enthusiastic about it despite my general liking of candy, being scared out of my wits, and dressing up as something (i usually yearn to really be...or think is funny). i don't think i've really costumed for a while; i vaguely remember dressing up as han solo two years ago, but it wasn't highly noticeable/effective. last year i wanted to be flapjack...this year i contemplated batgirl, judy jetson, or something like that...hm, upsetting. i really have no plans.

HO-HUM halloween
So much for the idea of a Halloween post. This year I haven't seen anything particularly scary in a botched hollywood film attempt, but there have been some people that just look so questionable (are they monsters? ghosts? serial killers? Oh, I shudder at the idea).
I've decided to dress up as well. On Halloween. I'm not about to go trick-or-treating; I'm channeling the days when I used to go and the prospect of receiving candy supposing that people know what the fuck I'm dressed up as. Ah yes, I have neglected thus far to mention who I'm decked out as: Han Solo!!
I don't think that I'm a "closet" Star Wars fan, as my cousin aptly put it, because I will ardently admit my unrequited admiration of the primary trilogy. The original three. Yeah.
I don't think any of the people who saw me knew who I was, besides the few that I decided to tell. How uneventful.
Halloween this year isn't great. I can't exactly say why, but it just feels as if something is missing or--I don't know. I've also got all this shit to do (ie: reading and essay typing. DROLL). I need me some Bruce Campbell.
